Dizziness and Vertigo
Feeling dizzy when rolling in bed, looking up or turning your head can be unsettling. One common cause is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), which occurs when small calcium crystals in the inner ear become displaced.
At Herne Hill Chiropractic, we are highly experienced in assessing dizziness and vertigo. We carefully differentiate BPPV from other causes such as vestibular neuritis, MĆ©niĆØreās disease, Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) and other balance disorders. We are also trained to recognise symptoms that may require medical referral. When BPPV is confirmed, repositioning techniques such as the Epley manoeuvre can be very effective.
